One of my favorite things is when people jump out of what is safe, traditional, and accepted to take a chance on something fun, unique, and personal to them…whatever it may be, a ring, dress etc. I have seen more and more brides dawning non-traditional engagement rings, which I LOVE.
I did a little research and found some great reasons to leave tradition in the dust!
1. Significance. Some people have a birthstone, or jewel that mean a lot to them and their spouse.
2. Uniqueness. Why would we all want to have the same ring? Right?!
3. Price. This can go either way depending on the gem and size, sometimes a gem can be cheaper than another, and other times much more expensive.
4. Conflict-Free. So we hear so much about diamonds, and the repercussions that has on our fellow human beings in other countries. Yes, some diamonds are conflict-free, and therefore not harmful to other people, but some choose alternative gems to ensure such things!
5. Freedom to be you…what else is better then that…this could be to most traditional of diamond rings, to a tattoo, whatever makes you happy!
